About The Author

In addition to all the usual topics addressed when describing an author, such as where born, raised, school, military as well as occupational experience, this author writes mainly about stepping outside of society to look back, reinvent and internally re-experience life so as to observe with eyes seemingly foreign to the Earth.

Owing to factors still unexplained, even when a youth he always stood aside, not physically, but metaphysically in his mind. What went on around him, along with all the explanations given by others for what was going on around him, seldom made sense. He could usually feed back to others what it was they expected to hear, but when applying their rationale to his own life, well, it just didn’t fit, rubbed him the wrong way and caused development of a contrarian disposition within.

So, in 1970, while living in the basement of a friend’s home, he purchased a journal book and began sorting out what it was that had been put in his head by society. Each subject that came to his mind was documented, primarily as an aphorism that got to the root of it. This he has done for the past fifty years – and counting – by dating and numbering his entries to this very day.  These journals are the primary source for the book series The Equilibrium Texts.

What these books offer is a perspective that is different from the storyline promoted and promulgated by society. They are the basis that can be used by others to metaphysically separate their selves from society long enough to begin the process of clearing their heads so that they might begin to discover just who and what they, and GФD, really are. This should be sufficient enough for them to begin to discover and write their own personal storyline that just might differ from the overwhelming one given them by society.

Supporting the above, the typical factors that added to his particular outlook are as follows: born in Chicago, Ill. in 1939; educated in California with a degree in Industrial Technology from Cal-Poly; served in the U.S. Navy specializing in air launched guided missiles and flight training; held licenses as an instrument rated commercial pilot and Certified Flight Instructor; until retirement, managed various phases of electronic manufacturing operations essentially in, what is now, Silicon Valley. Concurrent with writing The Equilibrium Texts, he’s filled in as a volunteer patrol driver for the past sixteen years with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s office.
